If you are still looking you can try the San Diego Kendo Bu. They have practices at UCSD as well as in a downtown area off of Roscrans. Their web site is:

Try Shofukan Kendo Dojo. Their website is www.shofukankendo.com.

Located in La Jolla at the JCC next to UTC. Practice time is Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 10:30
