high pitch sound when you get hit on the MEN with shinai

I've been having a problem. I'm assuming that they hit the top bars of the MEN which causes high pitch sound to my ears( like a high pitch BING!!!!!!) as if you are hitting a hollow metal pipe.

Is there a product or possible tape that can wrap around the top bars on the MEN to absorb that sound to my ears??

Answer: Thank you for your question. I've never heard or experienced such high pitched sound but it doesn't mean anything.

One thing I can think of for now is this plastic product you can put on the top of mengane (the metal part of the men).

I just google it. There are some choices.

Type "mengane protector" or "mengane cover" in your favourite search engine. You should find the item.
