Feet position when doing sageto

When doing sageto from chudan no kamae do we move our right foot backward or our left foot forward (to have feet in shizentai position)?

Answer: Thanks for your post.

Yes. Once you put your sword back into saya (scabbard), your feet should be in the position of shizentai , i.e. heels together and toes are 45 degrees apart.

The right foot should come back to where the left foot is since you took a step forwards when you drew out of your sword.
