Thank you very much for sharing your opinion. I agree with you too. Culture Is education. Without our parents teaching values of what we do in our cultural settings, we don't really know how to act in certain society as children.

The way is for us to live it. Many can practice the movements of kendo but not many live the way of the sword.

And what it means to live the way of the sword? Does it mean to practice zen buddhism as well as the teachings from samurai?

- pay respect to others
- live the right way (seiken jaha)
- live with pride and dignity
- commit yourself once you decide (sutemi)
- know when to strike and when not to (communication skills)
- etc. etc.

Non-kendoists also need these. I think I do kendo so it can put me back on the right track. I think that's cool :)
