kanji) face others or should it face yourself so you can read it?
Answer: What a good question! The words on your
tenugui is for you. Usually those
tenugui has a very meaningful or useful wisdom for our training, so we read it and remind ourselves about the wisdom before we put a
men on.
If you cannot read what it says, get someone else who can read
