How to wear a Hakama

I've found many different ways of wearing a hakama on the internet, and I've seen a few different ways in my club. I was wondering if there is a "correct" way or most accepted way of wearing your hakama. The main issue with my concern is the way you tie it.

Answer: Yes. I understand your confusion. I made a video so I would like to share it with you here.

The video shows a very general way of wearing the kendo hakama. So I hope it helps you with wearing a hakama at least in kendo.

Did you try asking your Sensei's advice?
by: Daniel Cedilotte

I would also advise that you ask your Sensei or your senpai. My take on it is this: as long as it looks neat, you'll be fine. In Kendo everything has to be neat. It applies to your gi and hakama, you (the way you hold yourself in the dojo), your cuts, your zanshin, your footwork, etc.

Kendo-Guide.Com: Thank you for your comment. Asking own sensei is the first thing to do, isn't it? You have to be neat and correct as well. So must ask own sensei :)
