Year 2013!!! Let's make this year a great year! New Year Greetings from Hiro Imafuji!

I ended the year 2012 being sick and started the year 2013 being sick. So I will turn this year super awesome! You know why? It is because...

At the end of 2006, medical staff thought I could not make it.

I had a knee surgery in the middle of December, 2006 and a little after that I had pneumonia, bronchitis and acute asthma.

They gave me all kinds of medication they could think of. Nothing worked. I was not getting better at all. The reason was simple. They did not have a lung specialist at the time of my hospitalization.

Many people visited me while I was there but I do not remember much. My in-laws told my wife that I was going to be OK but they actually thought totally the other thing.

So I was given a second chance... And this is the 7^th year since I experienced that and it is the 7^th year since my father passed away (Unknown Kendoist).

I am not sure exactly why but born in Japan and raised in Japanese culture, the number 7 means something to me. Even before I thought about what happened 6 years ago, I was thinking that this year would be very important to me. I think I kind of know now why.

I have the same kind of breathing problem that reminds me of myself 6 years ago. And I have been thinking that I have more to share before my time ends. And my time might come soon...or not.

So this year, I am going to share a lot more and do whatever I think I was born for.
