Congratulations on your passing 1kyu.

My first match I wasn't even ranked. If you have passed 1kyu I'm confident you know the basics well. Stick to them, approach slowly, keep strong kamae, and watch your seme. Strike as soon as you reach your distance.

You can try and sucker your opponent to attack first, don't block, attack as soon as you see him move. Good luck, don't worry about losing. If you lose it was to a better fighter, learn from him.
