what is the preferred weight for kendo?

I want to try and get into kendo but I am overweight and want to know what weight I should be.


Answer: Thanks for your question. There is no weight limitation in kendo. You can start right away. But if you think you are overweight, consider losing weight.

Kendo training will get harder as you advanced. Even though kendo is one of the safest martial arts that I know of, you will have difficulties if you are overweight.

But you can start right away and start losing weight at the same time.

Start from breathing. It is easy to do but it is very effective to burn calories. I am not a medical doctor so I cannot tell you this for sure. I am talking through my experiences.

When I breathe during meditation, in my case, I get really hot and start sweating.
