Strength

by Chuck
(China)

If I practice kendo which part of my body will get stronger or longer?

For instance if you practice taekwondo your legs will get both stronger and longer.

Thanks

Take care

Answer: Thank you for your question. First of all, I am not a doctor or a professional trainer. Is so I don't know if they can give you to this question. But I would like to tell you which parts of the body I think that kendo will strengthen.

Hands, forearms, biceps, shoulders, upper and lower back, abs, legs and feet.

Since each body part has its own task, they do not develop the strength equally. For example, the left leg is to push the body forwards so the left calf muscles probably get stronger than the right ones. The right forearm tends to get bigger than the left one. And so fourth.

I don't know which body parts get longer. Sorry!

Hope this helps.

PS... Of course, in addition to the strength, endurance will be developed too. So your lung capacity will increase as well.

PSS... Please add comments if there is something I did not mention.
