I saw this documentary on TV. This program covers the history of samurai and Japanese sword.

It was very nice to see how those katana making specialists devote their lives into their profession.

If you see this documentary, you will really appreciate the real katana and these katana making specialists.

Also you cannot treat katana like just a "tool". It is way more than just a "tool".

If you do kendo, please appreciate your equipment and do not treat them like just tools.

They are not just tools. Without appreciation and respect to your kendo equipment, what you do is not called kendo anymore.
